Sarnia police continue investigating after human remains were found in Sarnia, Ont

Police in Sarnia continue to investigate the discovery of human remains.

The remains were found Saturday in the area of Highway 40 and Lasalle Line.

According to police on Monday, the remains have been sent to the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto where they will undergo autopsy in order to determine the cause of death and identity.

Police are still at the scene and said officers are doing a methodical ground search of the area looking for evidence to support the investigation.

Further updates will be provided once the remains have been identified and next-of-kin have been properly notified.
