Section of Highway 401 closed overnight Saturday

A section of Highway 401 in London will be fully closed from Saturday evening until Sunday morning.

The closure - from Highway 4 to Highway 402 - is necessary to remove the old Glanworth Drive overpass.

The structure, which dates to the beginning of the highway, will be demolished between 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Detours will be in place.

Used frequently by farm equipment, the overpass was rebuilt 500 metres east of the old structure.
