Six people facing charges after traffic stop in Huron County

A traffic stop conducted in March has resulted in charges against six people in Huron County.

Police say an investigation led officers to a residence on Currie Line in the Municipality of North Huron, where a traffic stop was carried out. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for drug‑related offences.

A related search warrant was used later the same day at a location in North Huron. Police say the search resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, weapons and offence‑related property.

According to police, quantities of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, oxycodone and hydromorphone were seized. The total estimated value of the drugs is $9,064.

Seized offence‑related property included weigh scales, packaging materials, prohibited knives, a taser and cellular phones, with an estimated value of $3,875.
