The St. Thomas Police Service is working to educate the public on preventing auto thefts.
In a recent video posted to its YouTube account, they offered the following tips:
- Use vehicle immobilizers like steering wheel locks, dash cams, or faraday bags. A faraday bag is a lined bag that prevents car thieves from copying your key fob.
- Install a vehicle tracking system. It helps police find the car quicker.
- Lock your doors, use security devices and safeguard your vehicle.
