Unsettled conditions in London area forecast

CTV London Meterologist Julie Atchison brings you the latest forecast details.

Unsettled conditions continue across southern Ontario.

The area remains under an upper level pattern that’s blocked over the Great Lakes and with a stacked area of low pressure, it keeps it on the cloudy side of things.

The low pressure area will slowly lift northward Monday night. There’s a chance for another round of showers and thunderstorms.

Monday afternoon temperatures are in the mid to upper teens, anywhere from 16 to 17 C, which is right where we should be for this time of year.

Still some showers moving through parts of southern Bruce County and northern Huron.

The chance for showers will ramp up across the rest of the region Monday night.

“As another round makes its way through, so potential for some thunderstorms in London as we move past the supper hour about 5 to 10 millimeters possible under some of these heavier thunderstorms, mainly cloudy overnight and mainly cloudy as we head into Tuesday and Wednesday,” said CTV London meteorologist Julie Atchison.

The counterclockwise circulation of the rainfall will continue to impact the area. It will make its way out and the region will have a string of sunny days to put together, starting on Thursday.
