Residents of a townhouse complex were shocked to find a white commercial van lodged in a deep ditch in their back yards.
At around 10:30 on Wednesday morning, emergency crews were called to the corner of Exeter Road and Sholto Drive to reports of a vehicle striking a home.
A large hole in a wooden fence along the north side of the road provided firefighters with access to the van and its driver.
Enbridge was called to the scene to ensure there was no danger from a natural gas meter on the side of the townhouse.
The westbound lanes of Exeter Road were closed for over an hour.
London police continue to investigate.
