Those driving in and around Montreal on the weekend should be aware that certain roads will be closed for construction, including in the Ville-Marie Tunnel and overnight in the Turcot Interchange and La Fontaine Tunnel.
Using a Waze or other trip-planning app is advised before leaving.
Honoré-Mercier Bridge (R-138)
- From Saturday at 3 a.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., one lane will be open in each direction on the Montreal-bound span of the bridge.
- As a result, access to Airlie Street will be closed.
Ville-Marie Tunnel (R-136)
- From Friday at 11 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Route-136 west will be closed in the Ville-Marie Tunnel between exit 5 (Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge) and the Fort Street access.
- As a result, the Lucien-L’Allier Street access is closed by default.
Turcot Interchange / Décarie Expressway
- From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday 9:30 a.m., the Décarie Expressway (A-15) south will be closed between exit 63-O (A-20 west, airport) and the access on De la Vérendrye Boulevard.
As a result, the following are default closures:
- Girouard Avenue access.
- Highway 20 east ramps to the Décarie (A-15) north and south / Samuel-De Champlain bridge.
- The Route-136 west ramp to Highway 15 south.
Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel (A-25)
- From Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m., Highway 25 north in the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel will be closed between exit 90 (R-132) on Highway 20 west in Longueuil and the access to Sherbrooke Street in Montreal.
- The southbound highway will close in the tunnel between exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal and Route-132 in Longueuil.
As a result, the following default closures will be in effect 30 minutes before:
- The Route-132 east and west ramps (exits 89-N) to Highway 25 north.
- The l’Île-Charron Street access.
- Access to A-25 South via Sherbrooke, Tellier and des Futailles streets.
- In the Anjou interchange, the Highway 40 West ramp to Highway 25 south.
- Souligny Avenue eastbound, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand.
Viger Avenue (Montreal)
- Starting Monday, only one lane will be open on Viger Avenue between Saint-Denis and De Bullion streets, near the CHUM hospital. This work should last until the end of June.
Taschereau Boulevard (Longueuil)
- From Sunday at 10:30 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., the access to Taschereau Boulevard/La Prairie westbound will be closed, near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge.
Bonaventure Expressway (A-10)
- One of three lanes of the highway will be closed until December near the Peel Basin/Victoria Bridge.
- On the Clément Bridge, one lane will remain open in each direction until December.
- The Nuns’ Island exit (5) will be closed until the end of May.
REM line
- The REM (Réseau Express Métropolitain) remains closed on Saturday and Sunday in April.
