Montreal police (SPVM) says it has reason to believe a 40-year-old man recently charged with multiple sexual offences, including child pornography production, may have other victims.

Ryan Michael Elahie was arrested on Feb. 12 and is facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference and possession, distribution and production of child pornography.

“The events of which he is accused allegedly took place in various Montreal sports associations and high schools,” the SPVM said in a news release, adding that investigators believe there could be other victims.

The SPVM said that Elahie worked for various sports associations, day camps, community centres and organizations.

“He also coached boys' and teens' basketball, soccer, field hockey and weightlifting teams,” the SPVM said. “As a person in authority, he established a bond of trust with his victims. It was during private training sessions with them that he allegedly committed acts of a sexual nature.”

Elahie is 5’6” and weighs 225 lb.

He speaks English and occasionally wears glasses.
