Man shot in Laval early Sunday morning, no arrests made: police

Laval police (SPL) are searching for a suspect after a man was shot on Sunday morning.

Spokesperson Laurent Arsenault said a 911 call around 8:45 a.m. reported shots being heard on Cap-Éternité street in a residential area in the Duvernay district.

SPL officers arrived on the scene and located a 49-year-old man with a gunshot wound, who was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An operation is underway to locate evidence and no arrests have been made.

Investigators from the forensic unit are on the scene for analysis.
