Man with gunshot wound prompts Longueuil police investigation

Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating after a man showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating an armed assault after a man in his 50s arrived at Pierre-Boucher Hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to the SPAL, the victim arrived at the hospital around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

The investigation led officers to a home on Nobert Boulevard in Longueuil.

“The area was quickly secured and police intervention is ongoing,” a SPAL spokesperson said.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area.
