Montreal police (SPVM) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a dépanneur and punched the clerk in the face.
The SPVM said that the suspect went to the convenience store in the Verdun borough on Sept. 3.
“He approached the counter and first asked for a packet of cigarettes before demanding the contents of the cash register,” the SPVM said in a news release. “When the clerk refused, the suspect went behind the counter, punched the victim, grabbed the cash drawer and fled on foot.
