Montrealers are in for a mix of sun and snow this weekend

Partly cloudy skies and a low of -16 C on Friday night will give way to sunshine on Saturday with a morning temperature of -17 C.

With the wind chill making it feel like -27 C early in the day, hats and gloves will be key, though a daytime high of -12 C is expected for Saturday afternoon.

Those heading out at night will want to prepare for the mercury to drop as low as -22 C on Saturday night.

However, a high of -9 C is expected on Sunday. The weekend is also expected to end with snow.

Those in the Montreal area could see up to 5 centimetres fall on Sunday. A 60 per cent chance of an additional 3 centimetres of snow is also expected to kick off next week.
