Longueuil police (SPAL) are investigating the crash landing of a small Cesna type plane in a field in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, on the South Shore, on Thursday afternoon.
No one was injured in the wreck, according to police. However, authorities said that they are still gathering information on who exactly was aboard.
The plane crashed at around 3:30 p.m. in a field between Autoroute 30 near kilometre 80.5. and Rang des Vingt-Cinq Est, a spokesperson for the SPAL said.
Police said the aircraft was still in the field and was visible from the highway.
Highway 30 was not closed at around 4:30 p.m. but police were asking motorists to avoid the area.
Authorities had no further information regarding the circumstances that led to the crash.
