A technical problem caused service disruptions once again on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) early Thursday morning.

The transit network took to X to state that the issue was causing a two-way interruption between the Panama station in Brossard on the South Shore and Gare Centrale in downtown Montreal.

Service was expected to resume at 9:10 a.m., then 9:30 a.m. before being considered “undetermined,” according to the REM.

At 10:42 a.m., the network stated that “gradual service resumption is underway in both directions.”

The REM said shuttle buses were made available to aid commuters trying to get to their destinations.
