The deadline to take down tempos has come and gone in several cities across Quebec but some are still up — and failing to take them down could result in steep fines.
Most cities across the province that allow the temporary carports have set April 15 as the date to dismantle the structures. In Montreal, fines range from $250 to $1,000.
The deadline also applies to vestibule-style shelters set up on front steps or balconies and the entire structure must be taken down, not just the canvas.
