Two men are in the hospital with gunshot wounds on Sunday morning and Montreal police (SPVM) are trying to determine if they were involved in an early morning shooting incident.
SPVM spokesperson Veronique Dubuc said that a 911 call at 5 a.m. reported gunshots on Camille Street in the Lachine borough.
Officers went to the scene and found shell casings on the ground but no victims.
Around 30 minutes later, police responded after two victims checked in at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
“It’s still not confirmed that the two victims found in the hospital are linked to the gunshots that occurred in Lachine,” said Dubuc.
The men, aged 28 and 44, will be interviewed by police on Sunday.
Neither man’s wounds are considered life-threatening.
Officers are on the scene with the K-9 unit to analyze the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
