Two minors arrested after police intervention on Jacques-Cartier Bridge

Quebec provincial police (SQ) confirmed that two minors were arrested following a police operation on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge early Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for the SQ said that the operation was conducted around 4 a.m. after two individuals were spotted underneath the bridge.

“A perimeter was set up around the site as a precautionary measure,” the spokesperson said. “Around 9 a.m., two minors were arrested by police. They will be meeting with investigators.”

The SQ added that the minors could face charges in connection with the incident.

The Montreal fire department and Urgences-Santé also participated in the operation.

No injuries were reported.
