An apartment building in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough was evacuated as a preventative measure due to a burning vehicle nearby.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday about the incident on de Lille Street near Sauriol Street.
“The Montreal fire department brought the burning vehicle under control,” said Florence Stafford, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “Incendiary elements were located.”
The vehicle has been towed for examination.
There were no reported injuries, and no arrests have been made.
The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
