Man arrested in Laval in relation to sex assaults

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in Laval, north of Montreal, in connection with three alleged sex crime cases.

Jerry Boncy was arrested on Thursday and is expected to appear at the Laval courthouse on Friday to face several sex-related charges.

Laval police (SPL) states that the alleged crimes took place between January 2025 and January 2026.

“The suspect allegedly contacted his victims through dating sites,” the SPL notes. “Using the pseudonym ‘James’ and a fake profile photo, he allegedly invited them to his home, where he sexually assaulted them.”

The force says it has reason to believe there may be other victims and is asking for the public’s help in locating them.
