Ontario Provincial Police say a single-vehicle collision on Highway 11 on Oct. 12 claimed the life of a 72-year-old New Liskeard man. Officers and paramedic services were called out to the crash near Tilden Lake Road just after 3 p.m., police said in a news release Tuesday. “The rider, a 72-year-old from New Liskeard, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” OPP said. Police and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario are assisting with the investigation. Highway 11 was closed for four hours in both directions between Collins Drive northbound and Highway 64 southbound while investigators examined the scene. “The investigation remains ongoing,” said police.
