Children, parents and their pets are taking in the Easter festivities at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre in Sault Ste. Marie. The Easter Pet Extravaganza featured a variety of pet-themed and family activities.

"We have the perfect opportunity to provide a safe place for pets, so we wanted to try and incorporate some family fun for every family member, including the furry and the scaly and the feathered," said Kye Carter, an events assistant at the centre.

Though most of the animals on hand were of the canine persuasion, there were also reptiles from Eden's Reptile and insects from Entomica Insectarium.

The event was a fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the day-to-day operations of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Entomica.

"Thank you to the community for constantly supporting us," said Carter.

"We really appreciate it and we wouldn't be here without all of them."
