Greater Sudbury mayoral candidate Bob Johnston says 30 of his election signs were recently stolen and three burned.
Johnston said he got a call Thursday morning about one of his large signs on fire along Paris Street.
He said he reported the incidents to police. Police confirm it's a criminal offence to tamper with election signs.
"It really hurts me," Johnston said.
"I have put up over 400 signs through the city and I was involved with every sign that went up … I am a double leg amputee and I will hit the streets and I will replace them. I am gonna' work hard and work hard for the people."
Greater Sudbury Police said they have received three mischief and one arson complaint about municipal election signs.
