Crash closes Hwy. 11 near North Bay

Ontario Provincial Police were on the scene of a collision Wednesday evening that closed Hwy. 11.

Ontario 511 reported that the highway is closed between Cedar Heights Road and Highway 64 in Marten River.

Ontario Provincial Police told CTV News Northern Ontario that the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer. It took place around 4:20 p.m.

All lanes are closed, but a detour is available on Highway 64.

No other details are available and it’s not yet known whether there are injuries. However, police said Wednesday evening that they expect the highway to be closed for a long time.
