Kapuskasing drug bust leads to arrest of four, including two southern Ont. teens

March: Drug bust in Kapuskasing leads to 4 arrests Four people are facing several charges following an OPP drug bust in Kapuskasing that saw a large quantity of drugs seized by police.

A drug raid at a northern Ontario home earlier this week has resulted in the seizure of $70,000 in drugs, including fentanyl, crack and crystal meth, along with the arrest of four people, police say.

Three of the suspects are from southern Ontario and include a 15-year-old from Niagara Falls, a 16-year-old from Whitby and a 28-year-old from Toronto, provincial police said in a social media post.

The fourth suspect is a 64-year-old from Kapuskasing.

They are all charged with drug trafficking and weapons-related offences after several units from the Ontario Provincial Police searched a home on O'Brien Avenue in Kapuskasing on March 26.

Other drugs seized include cocaine, oxycodone and Xanax.

Around $3,800 in cash was also seized along with a Glock 43 handgun and six cell phones.

All four of the accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.

"The OPP remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members," police said.

"Operations like these are essential in combating the harmful effects of illicit drugs and the associated criminal activities."
