A bacon-flavoured vodka designed specifically for a popular Canadian cocktail and made in Sudbury, Ont., is now being carried by the LCBO.
Doc Prodan's Peppered Bacon Vodka made by Crosscut Distillery is a savoury alcohol that is the first of its kind to be sold at the Crown corporation's northern Ontario stores.

"Since 2018, Crosscut Distillery has been meticulously crafting Doc Prodan's Peppered Bacon Vodka, perfecting a blend that captures the rich, smoky flavour of peppered bacon," the company said in a news release Monday afternoon.
"This innovative spirit quickly became a favourite among local Caesar enthusiasts."
Crosscut said it uses locally-sourced grains to make the spirit, which is then infused with the essence of smoky bacon and black pepper.
