North Bay home destroyed in fire

No injuries in North Bay house fire The cause of a house fire on Regina Street in North Bay is under investigation.

A home on Regina Street in North Bay was destroyed by fire Monday morning.

Few details are known, but Sadie Closs told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca the blaze started shortly before 8 a.m.

The house is located between Worthington Street East and First Avenue East.

Closs said she first saw black smoke coming from the area where she grew up when she was at the grocery store April 8.

She said she made her way over to her old neighbourhood once she received a phone call about the fire from a friend who still lives in the area.

When she arrived, the home was engulfed in flames and firefighters were on scene.

CTV News has reached out to the North Bay fire department for more information and is awaiting a reply.

The cause of the fire and if anyone was injured as a result is not yet known.

Closs said the fire was under control around 8:42 a.m.
