North Bay police investigating collision between motorcycle and pedestrian

An intersection in North Bay was closed Friday following a collision between a pedestrian and a motorcycle, city police said.

A North Bay intersection is closed after a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian sent one person to hospital Friday morning.

Police said they received the call around 11:30 about the collision that happened at First Avenue West and Cassells Street.

The extent of the injuries sustained by the pedestrian taken to hospital is unknown.

An investigation is underway and the public is asked to avoid the area of the scene at this time.

“Anyone who was an eyewitness to this incident, or who has dashcam footage of the event is asked to call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and press 5 to speak to an officer,” a news release said.
