Dustin Seddon is wanted by North Bay Police Service

North Bay police are asking the public for help to locate a wanted local man who is accused of removing his ankle monitor.

Dustin Seddon, 29, is wanted on more than two dozen charges and was required to wear the ankle monitor as par of his bail conditions, police spokesperson David Woolley told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca.

The charges against him include intimidating a justice participant, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, criminal harassment and 10 counts of failing to comply with a probation or release order.

Police said they were alerted that his ankle monitor had been unlawfully removed on Jan. 21 and there is no concern for general public safety.

“We aren’t worried that he will randomly attack people,” Woolley said.

However, there is concern Seddon could become violent if he is confronted by an individual, he said.

“Don’t stop or try to detain him,” Woolley advised.

“Just notify police.”

Anyone with information about Seddon or his whereabouts is asked to call 705-497-5555 and press 5 to speak to an officer.
