North Bay police are alerting the public to emergency response training happening throughout the city Wednesday.
“Do not be alarmed if you see an enhanced police presence,” police said in a news release Wednesday morning.

“Members of the North Bay Police Service’s emergency response team will be conducting training exercises at E.W. Norman Public School on Lake Heights Road and in other areas of the city.”
Officers wearing tactical gear will be undergoing training exercises and drones may be used.
“Training is not expected to result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public,” police said.
“The North Bay Police Service’s emergency response team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.”
