Provincial police officers dealt with a wild situation near Cochrane on Thursday morning after a pair of loose horses were spotted roaming Highway 11.

Officers from the James Bay detachment were able to locate and capture the two horses and get them home safely.

"One of the things that draws people to the career of policing is that no two days are the same," Ontario Provincial Police said in a social media post.

"An incident early this morning was an excellent example of this."

A photo of three officers with two brown and white horses appears no one – neither animal or human – was injured in the incident.
