Northern Ont. police seize weapons and drugs, three face charges

Ontario Provincial Police in West Nipissing have charged three people with drug and weapons offences following a raid on a Church Street residence on Monday.

Armed with a search warrant, OPP seized drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency, digital scales, edged weapons, air guns and drugs suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

“The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $21,400,” police said.

The accused are all from West Nipissing and are ages 34, 36 and 47. Each were charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking, weapons possession and possession of property obtained by crime.

The 34-year-old is also charged with a probation violation and was held, along with the 47-year-old, for bail court in the Ontario Court of Justice on Aug. 30 in North Bay.

The 36-year-old has a court date of Oct. 5 in North Bay.
