James Bay Ontario Provincial Police says a 74-year-old from Moose Factory has died from injuries suffered in a Jan. 16 incident involving a snowmachine.
Police responded to the single-vehicle rollover around 3:30 p.m. on Moose River, along with Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, Weeneebayko Area Health Authority Ambulance and Moose Factory Fire Rescue.
“The driver … suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital via ambulance,” police said in a news release Monday.
“Despite medical efforts, the individual succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased on Jan. 19.”
The OPP’s traffic incident management and enforcement team is helping with the ongoing investigation.
