Saturday, Winnifred Fisher, better known as Freddie to friends, turned 100 years young.

Originally hailing from Timmins, Fisher now calls North Bay home, moving to be closer to her loved ones.

Born in 1923, she worked in an ammunition factory in southern Ontario during WWII.
Fisher has been a dedicated volunteer at her church for decades.

In a video message sent to CTV News, she shared some advice for a long, happy life.
"Doing everything in moderation, no smoking, getting eight to nine hours sleep every night and just taking every day as it comes," Fisher said.
"I never thought I'd reach this age, but now I have, it doesn't feel any different."
