Pedestrian struck by North Bay Transit bus Friday

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being struck by a city bus at Oak and Ferguson streets around 1 p.m. Friday. The person's condition is unknown.

A pedestrian was taken to hospital in North Bay on Friday afternoon following a collision with a city transit bus.

In a news release, North Bay police said the incident took place around 1 p.m.

“A pedestrian was struck by a North Bay Transit bus in the area of Oak Street and Ferguson,” police said.

“The District of Nipissing Paramedic Services and North Bay Fire and Emergency Services also attended the scene, working alongside (police) to provide immediate medical care and support.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital. No word yet on the extent of their injuries.
