The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment is seeking the public’s help identifying a person of interest related to a fraud investigation at an Elliot Lake cannabis store earlier this month.
The male suspect was at the store at about 12:24 p.m. on April 8.
OPP has shared details of the fraud investigation on social media and provided several photos showing a man holding an envelope and wearing a black jacket, a baseball cap and a black toque.
“OPP is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying this male in regards to a fraud related investigation at a cannabis store in Elliot Lake,” police said in their social media post.
Anyone with information related to the investigation or the identity of the individual is asked to contact OPP using reference number E250424104 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
