Sault police seek help with theft investigation, after items taken from Circle K

Sault police and Crime Stoppers ask for help identifying a suspect in a theft at the Circle K location on Wellington Street East on March 25, 2025.

Sault police are investigating an incident of theft at the Circle K location on Wellington Street East last week.

On March 25, according to police, a female suspect entered the location and took “numerous items” and placed them in a bag.

“The suspect left the store, dropped the bag off in a red pickup truck and returned taking more items,” said officials with Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District in a news release.

Police said the value of the merchandise taken was more than $200.

Portions of the incident were captured by video surveillance cameras and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect.

“Do you recognize this individual,” asked Brian Lester, a director for Sault Crime Stoppers, in a related online video.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Sault police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
