Service technician assaulted by Timmins tenant

Security firm releases Timmins patrol results A private security firm in Timmins hired by the city to help the local police service has released its patrol update for July and August.

A 30-year-old Timmins man has been charged with assault after a verbal dispute with a service technician escalated into a physical fight.

Officers were called to the altercation at a home on Leblanc Avenue in the late morning Tuesday, Timmins police said in a news release Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old male victim left the home and called police after the accused hit him.

Police arrested the suspect at the scene and charged him with assault and failing to comply with a probation order.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

None of the allegations has been proven in court.
