A Kingston man is facing multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police stopped him for speeding on a northwestern Ontario highway on Sunday.

OPP said they pulled over the driver on Highway 11-17 near Terry Fox Lockout Road on April 6 after clocking his vehicle at 122 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.

Officers with the Thunder Bay detachment discovered open alcohol, cannabis readily available, and expired vehicle documents during the traffic stop.

“Although the driver was sober, they were charged accordingly,” OPP said in a social media post, calling the motorist “not your average Sunday driver.”

OPP did not specify the exact charges laid in its post.
