The results of an autopsy on a body found in Bell Park last summer have led Sudbury police to begin investigating the death as a homicide.
The body of Pat Forgues, 36, was found near the large gazebo on July 31.

“Through the postmortem, it was confirmed that he suffered significant internal injuries that were not self-inflicted,” Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news update Tuesday morning.
“Based on the results of the postmortem and ancillary tests conducted through the coroner’s office, it has been determined that the injuries sustained by 36-year-old, Pat Forgues cannot be explained therefore his death is being investigated as a homicide.”

As detectives continue the investigation, they are asking anyone with information or who had interactions with Forgues leading up to his death to contact them.
