Temiskaming police find pedestrian hit-and-run suspect

Ontario Provincial Police say they located a driver and vehicle of interest just hours after a public appeal for information Thursday in relation to a pedestrian hit-and-run in Temiskaming Shores.

Ontario Provincial Police released photos of a pickup truck in hopes of solving a recent incident in which a vehicle struck a pedestrian last month.

“The driver of the vehicle in the photos may have information in relation to this incident,” police said in a news release Thursday.

The collision took place around 7:40 p.m. on April 15 on Whitewood Avenue.

Less than five hours after the public appeal for information went out, police said they located the driver and vehicle.

There has been no word on whether charges will be laid.
