Two fraud suspects from Toronto were recognized at a North Bay store after allegedly using gift cards loaded with fraudulent funds, police say.

Officers were called to an Algonquin Avenue business around 12:15 p.m. April 8 after two men used gift cards to buy some cartons of cigarettes.
“The alert staff members at the business recognized the two males as fraudsters that a Be-On-the-Look-Out (BOLO) had been issued for, in regards to similar activity in the Toronto area,” North Bay Police Service said in a news release Wednesday.
“When the males realized they had been recognized, they left the store immediately.”
The suspects left the store in a Black Dodge Durango bearing the license plate number DECH 806, police said.
