Bryton Bongard, a butcher, cares for 16 hybrid wolf-dogs on his rural property in Wahnapitae, Ont. They are housed within a secured two-acre enclosure where he feeds them a raw meat diet and lies down with them to bond and play. Bongard says he knows each by name but now fears his time with them is limited due to an impending seizure by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
