Provincial police boost enforcement of commercial vehicle safety amid rising crashes. In northern Ontario, 3 fatal truck collisions occurred last month. Provincewide, 73 of 9,000 truck crashes were deadly in 2024. The blitz targets speeding, tailgating and unsafe lane changes and is run in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and the Commercial Vehcile Safety Allaince.
