Author turns setback into community book fair
A Greater Sudbury author who says she was forced to quit a volunteer position due to disability restrictions has organized her own indie book fair to give back to the community. Emily Andrews says the event, set for Saturday in Chelmsford, will feature free seminars meant to inspire artistic expression, not necessarily professional publication. Writing, she added, empowered her to be brutally honest about postpartum depression and helped forge deep connections with readers who shared similar struggles.
