1 taken to hospital following stabbing at Billings Bridge: Paramedics

Ottawa paramedics say a man is in stable condition after being stabbed Wednesday afternoon in the area of Billings Bridge Shopping Centre.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 3:15 p.m. on reports of an assault.

Paramedics said a man had been attacked with an edged weapon.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Ottawa police said Wednesday evening no suspects were in custody. The Robbery Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call 613-236-1222 ext. 5116.
