Three Ottawa men are facing charges in connection with a “high-value perfume theft” at a Barrhaven store last month.
The Ottawa Police Service says officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at a store in the 3100 block of Strandherd Drive, near Woodroffe Avenue, at approximately 10:45 p.m. on March 17.
The suspects had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived at the store.
As a result of the investigation by the West Criminal Investigations Section, police say three men are facing charges of theft over $5,000, conspiracy to commit theft over $5,000 and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
“Investigators would like to thank members of the public who provided assistance during the early stages of the investigation,” police said.

Video circulating on social media purported to show the robbery at the Barrhaven store. Several people in hoodies and masks could be seen loading what appears to be perfumes and colognes into plastic bins and duffel bags, placing them in a vehicle, and then driving away.
