Clouds, showers in the forecast for Ottawa this Good Friday

Cloudy skies and showers are in the forecast for Ottawa this Good Friday.

Environment Canada calls for a high of 12 C today, wind becoming southeast 20 km/h this afternoon.

The temperatures will remain steady around 12 C, with showers, heavy at times, tonight. Cloudy skies, a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms are expected for tonight. The anticipated amount of rain is 15 to 25 millimetres.

Saturday will see a high of 19 C, a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms early in the morning. A low of -2 C, cloudy skies and a 30 per cent chance of showers are expected overnight.

Sunday will see a high of 10 C and sunny skies. A low of -3 C and clear skies are expected for the night.

Easter Monday will see a high of 11 C and cloudy skies. A low of 7 C, cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of showers are anticipated overnight.

The average temperatures for this time of year are a high of 13 C and a low of 2 C.
