The driver of an off-road vehicle was seriously injured and faces charges after a crash north of Kingston, Ont. Tuesday.
Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a utility-terrain vehicle (UTV) crash on South Road in North Frontenac Township where they found the driver pinned underneath the machine.
Firefighters on scene were able to lift the vehicle to free its operator. The driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A 35-year-old from North Frontenac Township was charged for operating a UTV on a highway without a licence, failing to wear a helmet and careless driving.
The crash site is located about 125 kilometres north of Kingston.
