A G2 driver will be parked for 30 days after being stopped for stunt driving in Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police say an officer observed a driver going 160 km/h on Highway 416 on Wednesday.
“Easy come, easy go. This driver got their G2 licence less than a year ago. They will be without it for the next 30 days,” OPP Const. Michael Fathi said.
The driver receives an automatic 30-day licence suspension and the vehicle is impounded for 14 days.
“The driver now faces a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points, and a one year driving prohibition upon conviction,” Fathi said.
Last weekend, the OPP stopped a G2 driver for stunt driving for the third time in less than a year.
Police say the driver was observed going 153 km/h on Highway 416 in Ottawa.
