Group of 4 Ottawa-area residents win $1 million lottery prize

A group of four residents from the Ottawa area have won $ 1 million with Encore in a Lotto Max draw that took place earlier this year.

The winners’ ticket matched all seven Encore numbers in the exact order. The draw took place on Jan. 17.

The group consists of Michel Vallee and Laura Vallee, from Orléans, and Doreen Lambert and Richard Lambert, from Vars.

They bought the ticket online.

Meanwhile, a resident from Ottawa had also won $100,000 with Encore in the draw that took place on Jan. 18. Francesco Reitano’s ticket matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the draw.

Reitano bought the winning ticket from Canadian Tire on Merivale Road in Nepean.

Two Encore draws take place every day.
